Product & visual designer

GiacomoRavagnan

I'm a product and visual designer. I design objects, brands and interfaces that people use every day.

Research. Idea.
Prototype.
Presentation. Ride.

Here are some of my projects.

01 / About

Hi, I'm
Giacomo.

I'm a product and visual designer from Italy. I graduated from IUAV in Venice, did my Erasmus in Zaragoza, interned at Clausell Studio in Valencia, and I'm now doing a Master's in Digital Product Design at IED Madrid.

I like problems that sit between a product and the person using it: how it feels in the hand, how it gets carried, what it says before you touch it.

SkateToolKit

A skate tool that fits in your wallet.

The classic T-tool gets the job done, but it's bulky to carry and its loose bits are easy to lose. I talked to skaters, explored dozens of ideas, and came up with sk8tk: a pocket-sized multitool made of two interlocking steel plates. It packs all the essentials for fixing your board into one compact design, with no loose parts to worry about.

Plane & Spatial Geometry, IUAV, 2023/24

Clay-100

Reverse-engineering a pair of glasses.

With Daniele Forestan and Emma Pierazzo, I measured Decathlon's Clay 100 shooting glasses with calipers and a curve gauge, rebuilt every surface in Rhino, then produced the full set: orthographic views, exploded axonometry, dimensioned sheets and renders.

Interiors

Same room, different light.

Two scenes modeled from scratch in SketchUp, lit in V-Ray with HDRI, IES and area lights, finished in Photoshop. Drag the sun across the room.

Wip Shatters

A brand that started on the street.

Born from a skate crew, a camera and a love for craft. I run the identity, the clothing graphics, the photo shoots and the promo videos.

Web design, Figma

Web design

Two sites, from brief to prototype.

A custom landing page for a client, and a complete website, Alveare, designed as a group project. Both built in Figma, from the first wireframe to a clickable prototype.
